  • What is compression therapy and how does it work?

Compression therapy refers to the application of external, controlled pressure to the body — typically to the limbs — to enhance circulation and fluid movement.

At Kämp Spa, the benefits of compression therapy can be enjoyed for example through lymphatic compression boots, available to rent for use in the Spa Lounge.

  • What is cryotherapy and how does it work?

Cryotherapy is an extreme cold treatment in which the body is exposed to very low temperatures (at least -110°C or -166°F) for a short period of typically one to three minutes. It is used for recovery, relief of muscle and joint pain, chronic inflammation, and the improvement of overall wellbeing and sleep quality.

At Kämp Spa, cryotherapy is delivered using the e°CABIN cryotherapy device, whose precise temperature control ensures an optimal whole-body experience. You can find more information on booking a cryotherapy session at Kämp Spa here. (LINKKI)

  • What is infrared sauna and how does it work?

An infrared sauna heats the body through direct light radiation rather than hot air or steam. The temperature is lower than in a traditional sauna (typically between 40–60°C or 104–140°F) yet the effect is often more intense.

Infrared elements emit an invisible wavelength of light comparable to the sun's rays, but without harmful UV radiation. This heat penetrates directly into the subcutaneous tissue, warming the body from within. As a result, the body begins to perspire deeply, even though the surrounding air is considerably cooler than in a traditional sauna.

  • What is Neurosonic relaxation and how does it work?

Neurosonic therapy is rooted in Nordic recovery tradition and developed in collaboration with psychotherapists to support nervous system restoration -  without conscious effort.

During a Neurosonic session, the body is exposed to low-frequency vibration at 20–100 Hz, delivered through a dedicated Neurosonic bed. The vibration acts directly on the autonomic nervous system, effectively bringing the body out of a state of stress and overstimulation.

At Kämp Spa, Neurosonic beds are available in the Silent Lounge for all spa guests.
